About US:

Yalelo (U) Limited is a tilapia fish farm that was established in Uganda in 2019. The farm is located in Butembe, Buikwe district on the shores of Lake Victoria. Yalelo Uganda is a subsidiary of First Wave Group B.V; a Dutch company with a portfolio of aquaculture related assets in Africa. First Wave Group owns and operates Yalelo Zambia, a pioneer of Aquaculture founded in 2011 that has grown quickly to become the leading fish farm in Zambia and among the largest aquaculture farms in Africa.

Job Summary:   The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail. In this role, you will directly oversee financial operations, treasury, reporting, tax, and regulatory compliance.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification, CPA or ACCA is mandatory. Understanding Microsoft D365 is a plus.
  • Seven years of experience in financial reporting or management accounting in an FMCG or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and IFRS.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of seamlessly liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a constant basis.
  • Clear demonstration of a sense of urgency and energy in achieving set goals.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently or as a team member.
