About US:

The
Uganda Cancer Institute is mandated by me UCI Act of 2016 to undertake cancer
care, research and training. The UCI is also the designated EastAfrica Regional
Centre of Excellence in Cancer Care, Research and Training.

The
Institute officer’s comprehensive cancer care for screening, diagnosis, policy,
care, research and training with all treatment modalities. In a bid to improve
the services offered to Ugandans, UCI is expanding its radiotherapy facility
having acquired additional two radiotherapy machines.

 It is critical to the evolution of a National
Centre of Excellence, providing specialized treatment and care for all types of
cancer using all the available subspecialty expertise possible, as well as
engineering oncology-centered research and training.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 

·        
Identifies
major financial and accounting systems

·        
Reviews
internal control procedures to assess their adequacy and compliance including;
spotting and elimination of weaknesses

·        
Verifying
assets within the Institute to safeguard them

·        
Auditing
GoU and all Donor funds with the Institute to ensure proper accountability

·        
Conduct
special investigations of audit nature

·        
Writes
audit reports for submission to the Director

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:

·        
The
ideal candidate must have an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business
Administration(Accounting/Finance Option) or Bsc Accounting and Finance or full
CPA or ACCA from a recognized University or Institution
