Job Summary: Watoto is seeking to recruit a Clinical Services Manager to spearhead the delivery of primary health care services in the Watoto Children’s villages.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Healthcare planning and service delivery
- Plan the delivery of health care services according to departmental strategies and goals and evaluate the effectiveness.
- Participate in budget planning and monitoring.
- Coordinate and evaluate the delivery of healthcare for Watoto community and outreach community.
- Partnership engagements for effective healthcare delivery.
- Coordinate external patient referrals.
- Conduct patient consultations.
Supervision of medical staff
- Provide direct supervision to the following roles: Clinic coordinators, Laboratory Coordinator, dental officer, nutritionist, head nurses- ensure performance according to Job descriptions and department work plans.
- Monitor the performance and roles of ail medical staff.
- Facilitate recruitment and interviewing for positions within medical department in conjunction with Team Leader
- Conduct staff appraisals.
- Ensure that staff undergo training and development relevant to their roles.
- Train and mentor medical staff
- Ensure compliance to policies and Standard Operating Procedures, including continual development of medical policies and guidelines.
- Disseminate organizational decisions and any other useful information to your team as required.
- Prepare periodic reports in line with the management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery.
- Master’s degree in public health is an added advantage.
- At least three years of working experience in a large organisation in a similar role.
- A team player, result oriented, self – motivated, able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must possess good managerial, M&E, administrative and leadership skills to ensure you achieve departmental objectives and goals and contribute towards realization of Watoto vision.
- Willingness to regularly travel and work in hard-to-reach areas.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.
