Job Summary: The Business Sales Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the branches and sales officers to generate, retain and grow business for the institution and this may include but is not limited to managing client’s relationships, sales team performance and problem solving
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor all performance indicators for sales tracking tools and compiling reports, in order to support effectively the strategic objectives UGAFODE (MDI).
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, companies, institutions, Sacco’s and customer markets that will help grow UGAFODE (MDI) business.
- Distribute relevant brand materials to support marketing activities for the branches and business growth such as pipelines, sales conversions and Outdoor to enhance brand visibility for UGAFODE (MDI).
- Support Marketing Campaigns to promote the Brand of UGAFODE through rolling out savings campaign, in line with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs etc.
- Drive product awareness to enhance product knowledge across the institution by conducting product awareness sessions and quizzes to all staff so as to drive a cross selling culture in at UGAFODE.
- Monitor customer service standards by supporting the delivery for good customer service practices at UGAFODE through enhancing a culture of professionalism by responding to daily customer issues and ensuring timely resolution or escalation within UGAFODE set standards.
- In conjunction with internal stakeholders (HoDs and staff), drive a culture of values appreciation across UGAFODE through sensitization and operationalization of the values and transforming staff attitudes into a culture that serves, sizzles and succeeds in response to the required changes in the MDI sector.
- Setting bank Service standards: Leads in the review/development of UGAFODE customer service standards by checking the safety, ambience, cleanliness, accessibility and timeliness; of the banking halls and all customer facing staff. Supervises call Centre staff to adhere to professional telephone etiquette that enhances UGAFODE professional reputation
- Contain Marketing, communication and customer service spend within approved budget and planned annual activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or public relations or any other business related
- At least four years of experience in customer relations and business acquisition
- Experience and skills in marketing is a MUST.
- Good computer literacy with excellent use of MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of UGAFODE product & service offering.
- Solution-focused, flexible thinker with a strong “can do” attitude
- Good verbal and listening skills
- Result oriented. Good negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with others.
- Proactive self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
- Communication skills (email and phone etiquette)
- Integrity, transparency and confidentiality
