About US:

Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda’s leading manufacturer of
quality building products located at Kajjansi, 14 Kilometers along
Kampala-Entebbe Road with a second factory at Kamonkoli in Mbale.

Job Summary:  The Driver is
responsible for providing effective transport facilitation, carrying out basic
vehicle maintenance, ensuring health and safety compliance, adhere to road
safety signs and participating in a promotional role for the company in order
to attain the objectives at the Company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·      
To ensure that Uganda Clays’ vehicles are in
good condition, mechanically sound and safe to drive

·      
To drive passengers safely and securely to their
destination, at all times complying with the laws of Uganda, Uganda Clays
procedures and best practice in customer care

·      
To give a good impression of Uganda Clays to
passengers, suppliers and others who are contacted in the course of work

·      
Take personal responsibility for ensuring that
Uganda Clay’s Quality and Safety procedures are implemented at all times

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The ideal applicant Should possess at least a
UACE qualification.

·      
A valid driving permit with the required classes
as per automobile to be driven

·      
Certificate in Defensive Driving

·      
Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations,
driver protocol and oourtesies (Traffic Act and other police regulations).

·      
Skills in carrying out minor vehicle repairs.

·      
Fluency in English, Swahili or Luganda

·      
Basic knowledge of computer i.e. email,
internet, word processing

·      
At least four years’ experience as a driver in a
business or international organisation with a safe driving record.
