Job Title:     Security Officer (Fresher Jobs)

Reports to: Senior Security Officer

 

About US:

The National Environment Management Authority (hereinafter called “NEMA”) was established under the National Environment Act, Cap.153 in May 1995 and continued under the National Environment Act No.5 of 2019 as the principal agency for environment management in Uganda charged with regulating, supervising and coordinating all activities relating to the environment.

 

Job Summary: The Security Officer will support management of the security of person and property for the Authority

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Support the senior security officer to:

  • Develop and implement division workplans and timely reporting
  • Secure the estates and all properties of the Authority
  • Manage security and safety of the premises in liaison with the EPF
  • Manage security and safety of the Authority personnel at the workplace
  • Submit timely and accurate administration reports
  • Profile, rate and respond to security threats and make timely reports
  • Advise management on security and safety issues
  • Perform any other official duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an Honor Bachelor’s Degree in any field
  • Professional training in security services
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent Report Writing Skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent Customer Care skills
  • Information Communication Technology skills
  • Leadership and Team Work
  • High moral integrity
  • Organizational management skills
  • Excellent listening skills
