Job Summary: The Consultant, Digital will provide oversight of the Agents and Merchants network from a regulatory, risk management and Business development perspective, in line with the Bank’s Digital strategy. The job holder will also champion digital initiatives to increase customer adoption and reduction of manual transactions at branches.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To drive migration targets, implement tactics and educate customers and staff on the use and benefits of self-service banking channels. i.e. Internet, Mobile banking, banking APP etc.
- To onboard merchants and monitor sales, within Branch surroundings for Agents, acquiring merchants, by taking responsibility for the onboarding and installation of new products, consult and assist on technical matters relating to POS such as communication issues, new developments and implementation thereof etc.
- Ensures that customers are migrated to appropriate channels within their needs and requirements.
- Ensures that customers are migrated to channels to optimise revenue growth (e.g. encourage customers to use the APP instead utilising channels where the customers do not pay i.e. Branch but then this impacts on queues).
- Acquires and migrates new business to alternative channels i.e. APP, internet banking, BOL, wallets, Acquiring, BNAs or ATM’s.
- Where possible encourage customers to make use of digital lending products i.e. instant cash advance, Mobi unsecured lending, loan top-ups etc.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Stanbic Bank Consultant, Digital job should hold an undergraduate degree in business or a related field
- Three to four years of experience in branch banking, sales, digital, and self-service product knowledge.
- Experience in merchant solutions or tele communications will be an advantage.
