Job Summary: Join our Finance team and you will help enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively. You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities. You will support EY planning, reporting and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as managing engagements, process and auditing time and expense or invoice processing. You’ll also work with other parts of our organisation, sharing your financial experience and insights to achieve specific goals. You’ll get all the support you need to stay on top of regulations — and the advice and help you‘ll need to meet your own professional goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for ensuring timely financial closing, accurate financial statements and reports.
- Ensure complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transaction.
- Review of management reports to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
- Review and recommend enhancement to processes to increase efficiency and strengthening of controls.
- Prepare monthly statements by collecting data; analysing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
- Prepare state quarterly and annual statements by assembling data.
- Compile tax filing requirements by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; advising management on required actions; calculating quarterly estimated tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
- Provide financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations.
- Update job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Facilitate preparation of weekly Accounts receivable and WIP for managers and partners.
- Bank – Make Cash withdrawals and disbursement as agent to the EY Bank account,
- Prepare VAT/WHT and subsequent filing of the returns.
- Assist in preparation of insurance claims as and when they arise.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Commerce (Accounting option) from reputable universities.
- ACCA/CPA qualification.
- At least three years of working experience in managerial role is required.
- Have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel (able to use formula related to finance).
- Have a good communication and interpersonal skills. Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to deliver best results.
- Ability to communicate both written and oral in English.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Desirable
- Member of the professional accounting body ICPAU or ACCA
- Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Auditing and accounting.
