Job Summary: The
Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Service Desk Engineer will monitor the
critical Data Centre infrastructure and the entire Data Centre network from a
central location. In this role, the successful candidate will be expected. The
incumbent will analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response
on the system, communicate with site technicians and track problems through to
resolution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Manage
and maintain all Raxio data centre monitoring systems, including, but not
limited to the Data Centre’s specialized Building Management System (BMS)
·
Handle
and escalate faults as per Raxio’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and
escalation matrix
·
Monitor
automated systems, generate and respond to incidents from the moment they’re
captured through to their resolution.
·
Operate
as the first point of contact for any system-generated issues, as well as those
logged internally and those externally (Resellers/Agents) External customer
services in the communication list.
·
Collaborate
with other functions, such as the Data Centre site engineers, data hall
engineers and account manager to ensure timely resolution of escalated faults.
·
Make
sure Raxio data Centre’s equipment
maintenance schedule is adhered to.
·
Maintenance
of technical documentation of SOPs
·
Participate
in a 24×7 call-out rotating schedule
·
Keep
abreast with all services being offered by Raxio by attending all trainings
organized by the company
·
Ownership
of incident and change management processes.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The
ideal candidate for the Network Operations Centre and Service Desk Engineer job
must hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Experience
and skills in Network Monitoring and Service Desk Support
·
Minimum
of five (5) years of proven work experience in a similar, technology or telecoms,
customer-facing organization.
