Job Title:   Finance & Administration Officer

Organisation: Elimination of Child Labour in
Tobacco growing areas (ECLT Foundation)

Executive Director (ED)

About US:

The Elimination of Child Labour in Tobacco growing areas
(ECLT Foundation) is a Non Government Organisation committed to collaborative
solutions for children and their families that combat the root causes of child
labour in tobacco growing communities The ECLT Foundation is registered in
Uganda as an NGO, registration Number. MIA/NB/2019/08/3105. The Foundation
brings together different stakeholders involved in supply of agricultural and
other commodities including tobacco, tea, sugarcane, coffee, oil and gas, applying
area based approach.

Job Summary:  The Finance & Administration Officer works
closely with the ED in order to manage the Finance & Administrative tasks
of ECLT Uganda. She/he is responsible for providing management &leadership
in all Finance & Administration related issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Finance:

·       
Manage Account Payable & Account Receivable

·       
Prepare Payments

·       
Perform Bank & Petty cash reconciliation

·       
Manage Periodic close

·       
Prepare Management Accounts to ED and ECLT
Uganda board

·       
Manage Audit processes

·       
Ensure Finance Internal Control & ERP
systems are up to date

Administration:

·       
Coordinates the IT system for the entire office

·       
Manages the facility

·       
Support ED with ECLT Uganda Governance and legal
compli ance

·       
Keep the Board Members database relevant &
up to date

·       
Manage Board Member registration with Uganda
Authorities, lawyers, and notaries

·       
Coordinate the production of Board and committee
meeting minutes including all relevant documents

·       
Compliance with Uganda authorities:

·       
Monitor and manage State statutory obligations

·       
Ensure timely and accurate reporting

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Finance or Administration, Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA and
CIMA will be an added advantage.

·       
At least three years of experience in a similar
role preferably in NGO setting

·       
Knowledge of Uganda accounting standards

·       
Understanding of NFP financial management

·       
IT literate, proficient with MS Office

·       
Knowledge of NGO legal requirements

·       
Integrity and honesty

·       
Service orientated

·       
Very good planning and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills

·       
Able to work under stress and given deadlines

·       
Ability to maintain discretion, diplomacy and
confidentiality

·       
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

·       
Precise and meticulous, superior attention to
detail
