Job Title:  Junior Accountant (Fresher Jobs)

Organisation: Agri Exim Limited

Duty Station:  Kasese and Bundibugyo, Uganda

Reports to: Manager Accounts and Finance

Job Summary:  The Junior Accountant will ensure the day-to-day accounting activities of the department run smoothly

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange for payments of traders for the raw materials delivered at the warehouse after verifying the prices with the country manager and quantities delivered with the warehouse manager.
  • Ensure company Procurement process is in place
  • Submission of documents to Kampala to process payments
  • Make a report on the daily stock received, processed and sold, indicating the values to management so as to keep them updated of all stock-related matters.
  • Periodical stock take of physical inventory & submission of reports to Kampala
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts
  • Ensure advances are settled within timeline
  • Make daily updates of all information into the tally system, for easy access of all information that may be required, keep accountability and for audit purposes.
  • Ensure production & consumption records are up-to-date
  • Submission of month end information for closing books of account.
  • Maintain proper accounting documents by filing them to ensure that they are in safe custody and easily accessed by the finance team.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Com, BBA OR Accounting and Finance related course
  • A minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Knowledge in tally and quick books is a MUST
  • Manufacturing or industry experience is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills with knowledge in excel and tally, Good interpersonal skills, High level of integrity
  • Good team player
