Job Title:  Electrical & HVAC Commissioning Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Definition of sub-system boundary limits and commissioning packages within sub-systems. Definition of electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning scope within the sub-systems.
  • Follow up and intervention in contractor’s preparation for pre-commissioning and commissioning scope for both onshore and offshore. Planning and progress reporting.
  • Approval of contractor’s methods and strategies for commissioning. Approval of contractors’ system commissioning procedures and Operational Test Procedures.
  • Ensure all pre-commissioning and commissioning execution activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the project HSE plan.
  • Witness contractor’s performance of pre-commissioning to achieve mechanical Completion on a sub-system basis. Planning and progress reporting.
  • Expert knowledge of commissioning completion system (ICAPS). Other completion system experience is relevant.
  • Approval of contractor’s commissioning planning and follow up of progress according to plan. Approval of contractor’s punch list activities and control of punch list items including sign-off of punch list items. Planning and progress reporting.
  • Witness contractor’s performance of onshore commissioning to achieve AOC on system and sub-system basis. Approval of contractor’s pre-commissioning and commissioning dossiers. Planning and progress reporting.
  • Follow up of contractor’s FAT activities at supplier premises. Planning and progress reporting.
  • Assistance and contractor follow up during offshore installation, hook-up and commissioning and production startup. Progress reporting and planning.
  • Ensure the “Company’s Referential” is implemented throughout TILENGA Project for all electrical discipline related activities and liaise with metier as required.
  • Participate in the training and coaching of Company production personnel and maintenance contractor personnel assigned to the Plant.
  • Ensure personnel involved in HV & MV are properly certified for relevant competency & register maintained.
  • Approve all electrical energization of any new system during commissioning.
  • Ensure HV energization PSSR are validated.
  • Conduct site audits for safe commissioning & operating of all electrical sub stations.
  • Liaise with contractor & vendor for sitewide commissioning of HVAC equipment’s.
  • Ensure RFC & AOC walkdowns followed with Contractor & company personnel and tracking all defects. Close liaison with EACOP & National Grid import stakeholders for executing & approving relevant systems. Ensure regular preservation is performed & recorded for all equipment’s.
  • Ensure all software licenses, keys, passwords are secured & transferred to Field Operation during handover.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the TotalEnergies job must hold an appropriate electrical technical qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8-10+ years’ experience in commissioning electrical systems within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of electrical systems Commissioning & Start-up work on onshore and offshore facilities: preparing commissioning strategy, developing network planning, coordinating integrated plan, contractor follow up and supervision during pre-commissioning and commissioning, management of systems handover process and integration with Plant operations teams. Proven experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of large rotating machinery, HV, MV and LV generation and distribution systems including UPS systems.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the E&P business, experience in a multi-project E&P company environment with a thorough understanding of the technical and commercial issues and risks associated with the project.
  • Fully conversant with the OPERCOM specification & ICAPS database
