national character and currently implementing activities in Northern Uganda, Rwenzori and the Albertine Regions. Our focus is on the following sectors; agriculture, Water and Sanitation and Natural Resources Management. Vision: A community where people and nature flourish.
Job Summary: To manage the accounting operations of the project and maintain accurate records that reconcile with source documents
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check requisitions to ensure they are property coded in line with the budget codes
- Check accountabilities presented to ensure they are in line with the accounting requirements
- Document the financial transactions by entering accounts information into the accounting software and generate reports
- Update project cashbooks
- Prepare monthly income and expenditure statements and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly PAYE. NSSF and Withholding tax returns and ensure that payment is made on time
- Prepare project payroll and verify employees’ chargeable time in line with established accounting standards
- Review time sheets against planned activities for accuracy and completeness
- Develop a filing system and file all the completed accounting documents in fine with the organizational requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a University Degree in Accounting. Finance or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution
- At least two years relevant working experience in accounting preferably with an NGO
- Excellent knowledge of Ms Excel is a MUST.
- Knowledge of OuickBooks accounting software is an added advantage
- Age: 28-35 years
