Job Summary: The Universal Bankers will mainly service
Customers by conducting a thorough customer requirements’ needs analysis,
service and recommending the most appropriate solutions to fulfil the
customer’s needs at the branch and/or local market. The Universal Banker will
generate leads, build new and maintain existing customer relationships for
walk-in customers, resulting in a positive customer experience. The Universal
Banker must also be able to identify and engage appropriately across all the
client segments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct
a thorough financial needs assessment and recommend the most appropriate
solutions for customer’s immediate and future financial needs at the branch.
·
Promote
and sell a range of product offerings and solutions that meet the financial
needs of customers that walk in at Branch or serviced through local market
structures.
·
Generate
and follow through cross sales opportunities from client needs.
·
Acquire
and open new personal and business accounts according to customer needs.
·
Cross
sell additional products and services to existing and new customers and
generate leads for business customers to be pursued by Enterprise Direct
·
Identify
and refer cross sales leads to other stakeholders including CIB, Enterprise
Direct, Vehicle and Asset Finance, Trade Finance, Home Loans; bancassurance and
others.
·
Provide
input into the marketing plan and campaigns targeted at increasing personal and
business sales revenue.
·
Conduct
and drive campaigns at branch, targeted at personal and business banking
customers.
Customer Service
·
Resolve
customer enquiries; refer more complex enquiries to the relevant area for
example: Enterprise Direct; Home Loans; Bancassurance; VAF, and follow up on
the query resolution in order to provide feedback to the customer.
·
Resolve
customer service queries e.g. transfers, account amendment, account activation and account
query resolution when requested by customers according to defined procedures.
·
Conduct
customer on boarding across all customer segments as per defined processes for
new accounts and explain the channels offerings that are available to the
customer ( physical and alternate channels)
·
Proactively
promote the adoption and drive cross sell opportunities for all alternate
channels i.e digital banking channel, agency banking Enterprise on line..etc
·
Maintain
customer satisfaction as per defined Customer Experience Measurements (CEM)
targets
Customer Migration
·
Identify
the addressable customer transactions that should be migrated to the alternate
channels
·
Sign on
customers to the alternate channels.
·
Supervise
Agent network with in the branch’s eco system with the aim of driving
transactions on the channel
Lending & Risk
Management
·
Inform customers
of their terms and conditions in accordance with the requirements in Stanbic
bank Bank’s policies as well as the Code of Banking practice.
·
Support
p customers in the completion of credit application information requirements
for example balance sheets,
·
Capture
and process scored credit applications for personal customers within the
confidential limit of authority and Behavioural Risk Indicator (BRI) scores and
notify customers regarding the approval or decline of credit loan facilities.
·
Action
credit violations reports daily as per laid down procedures for personal
lending.
·
Conduct
Know Your Customer (KYC) for customers as per defined guidelines in order to
minimise fraud. Report identified fraudulent incidents immediately.
·
Action
daily / weekly Personal Banking reports as per laid down procedures.
·
Identify
and manage business risks from both a customer and bank perspective by ensuring
that appropriate control mechanisms are in place to minimize risk exposure.
