Job Summary:   The ICT Support Officer will provide front
line IT support for UMEME computer users

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Provide
second line support services to UMEME IT users.

·       
Following
up on open tickets and providing feedback to users

·       
Managing
IT helpdesk reports and escalations

·       
Offer
1st line support for OICS Touchpay and ULTIMA

·       
Resolve
user issues assigned by the help desk, in a fast efficient manner.

·       
Configure
new computers, and install software and hardware components as required.

·       
Report
work completed to UMEME help desk and escalates unsolved issues.

·       
Participate
in IT projects, as required.

·       
Update
software patches it and version management.

·       
Deliver
and maintain IT equipment, in Kampala and upcountry.

·       
Install
Anti-virus and upgrades.

·       
Evaluate
Software & Hardware

·       
General
support duties and other tasks as required.

·       
On-standby
support for Call Centre and Work Management Centre ensure that systems and
applications are up and running.

·       
Support
Lugogo Offices in general, these include Stores, Planning, Survey, AMR,
Engineering, Safety, Security, CCD among others.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal applicant for the Umeme ICT Support Officer job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree
in IT or its equivalent

·       
At least
two years’ experience in a similar support role.

·       
Honesty
and Integrity

·       
Attention
to detail

·       
Accuracy

·       
Customer
Care Experience/Dealing with customers over the phone

·       
Experience
of a help desk administration

·       
Good
communication skills both written and oral
