Job Summary: The Product Owner – Digital Channels supports all E-Commerce platforms from a data, integration, user interface, training, and experience angle. It is customer facing but focuses on platform reliability, stability, and ease of use. (Diageo One, The-Bar.com and D2C in H2). The role is the principal point of contact for the service provider and is responsible for continuous improvement.
The role works closely with the other product owners (EDGE 365 DMS and CPD) to ensure a coordinated digitization ecosystem.
The role is also responsible for the Call centre and the verbal channel and directly supervises the call centre operators
Takes responsibility for the flow of correct and timely data into dashboards and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training: develop training material, train all users new and existing (Sales staff, Distributor staff, Customers) on proper use of Digital platforms
- Reporting: Design and disseminate reports about the performance of our digital platforms and related insights
- Relationship management: Collaborate with other product owners in and outside the market to share learning and experiences
- Supplier management: Hold the developer to account on improvements, stability, troubleshooting, data integrity
- Collaboration: Work with CPD and DMS owners to facilitate a flawless EDGE 365 Ecosystem, including data flows, controls, and learning.
- Governance: Work with global sales and regional leadership to ensure all governance aspects are covered: ISO 10008, Data and privacy, IARD compliance, CARM controls, DWBB Standards.
- Shaping the future: Scan the market for new trends in E-Commerce, propose new solutions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must be a Graduate, Digital/tech savvy
- Three to five years of experience in an FMCG environment in a similar role
- Great communicator – Customer facing
- Well organized with a good network or understanding of commercial and support functions within the business.
- A problem solver: restless & agile – lives and breathes implementation
- Stakeholder management – Comfortable with navigating a complex business, multiple markets and teams and building relationships fast.
- Insatiable curiosity – Strong desire to understand consumers, customers and shoppers and the world they exist in, digital revolution and omnichannel context, with evidence in applying this to drive business growth.
- Attention to detail – Managing multiple external stakeholders including contract negotiation, which needs to be checked thoroughly, both from a commercial perspective and legal perspective.
- A trainer – Able to train semi-literate and literate users alike.
