Movit Products Ltd is a Ugandan personal care company based
in Kampala, manufacturing personal care products. Its brands include Movit,
Radiant, Baby Junior, Skin Guard, Pine and NAN. The company was founded in
1997, by Simpson Birungi as a makeshift workshop in Namasuba, Wakiso District.
In 1999 the first Movit product, Herbal Baby Jelly, was put on the market. Over
the years, Movit, the company’s flagship name, has grown into one of Uganda’s
top cosmetics brands with distribution links in both East Africa and the COMESA
regions. Other known products from Movit include the Body Milk Lotion, Junior
Petroleum Jelly, Movit No base Relaxer and many more.

Job Summary: The
purpose of this is job to provide creative support to Movit in communication,
design, planning and innovation on products to ensure consistency in look and
feel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       
Develop design / communication plans for the
team that are in line with the Movit’s objectives and strategies;

·       
Oversee the creative process to ensure seamless
flow of processes and that the ultimate goal is met;

·       
Coordinate print production of materials i.e.
new labels, flyers, banner, boxes etc.as per the requirements;

·       
Implement creative concepts or projects in Movit
so as to ensure Movit products are attractive and eye catching;

·       
Research on new trends on communications and
designs to keep abreast and coach and mentor the team on this basis;

·       
Weekly and monthly Report writing on the
achievements of the team and the way forward;

·       
Manage all designing works on packaging,
advertising and any other promotional materials;

·       
Supervise, inspire and  kick off creative sessions for all company
design projects;

·       
Develop creative programs and design concepts
that meet MPL’s objectives and brand strategy

·       
Prepare approved finished Art work for external
processing;

·       
Liaison between the brands and the communication
agency so as to relay the design specification and requirements; and

·       
Field supervision of all external company brand
activities such as tradeshows/activations

·       
Ensure 100% success rate on both deadline
delivery and quality on all art works process

·       
Daily distribution of work priorities for the
team

·       
Ensure 100% compliance to the set
procedure/protocol for innovative designing and the approval process

·       
Ensure 100% relevancy and creativity on all
assigned branding projects

·       
Pitch designs on all assigned design projects
for management’s input and approval

·       
Ensure 100% success rate on the processing of
all approved artwork in terms of quality, specification details and delivery
deadline.

·       
Ensure 100% compliance as per the approved
external art layout

·       
Analytical decisions

·       
Operational decisions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s Degree
in a relevant field

·       
At least six (6) years’ relevant work experience
for direct entry; or three (3) years’ experience in the previous grade

·       
Creative designer

·       
Computer literacy

·       
Keen to details

Eloquence in speech

Confident and bold

Maturity

Aggressive
