Job Summary: The Stores Keeper will take proper care and maintenance of stock including, receiving, storing, issuing and managing inventory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Receive, offload, and shelve Products
· Update the Bin card to ensure that physical stock and the Bin card are matching
· Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
· Ensure that all products are issued only with the requisitions.
· Ensure that Products are properly arranged in the selves.
· Prepare and share out a daily report on stocks in terms of Receipts, issues and closing balance.
· Carry out Perpetual stock counts to provide accountability.
· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant must hold a Diploma in any Business related courses or its equivalent
· Three years of experience in storekeeping and inventory control.
· Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
· Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in Stores environment
· Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Competencies in data entry.
· Skills to operate common office equipment
· Knowledge of Tally ERP 9 will be an added advantage
