Job Summary: The Learning and Development Manager will develop, implement and monitor Enabel in Uganda Learning and Development Strategy, ensuring that it is constantly aligned with the Country’s Action Plan with the aim of facilitating successful achievement of the same.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will develop a mapping of training needs, organise training plans for Enabel in Uganda Employees in order to contribute to the strengthening of Employee skills and knowledge.
- You will organize and develop an on-boarding and orientation program for new Employees in order to help them better integrate into the organisation and better understand the expectations of the organisation towards them.
- You will oversee the operation and development of E-Learning programs (On-Line) in order to ensure continuous access to learning opportunities for all Employees.
- You will receive and analyse Training/Learning requests in order to determine the relevance of the requested training as compared to the required skills and competences required to perform.
- You will provide support to the Representation-HR team with a view to strengthening it’s operations and improving the quality of services provided to all Employees.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration with a bias towards Human Resource Management or a related field .
- Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added value.
- At least five years of relevant experience in developing and designing Employee Learning and Development strategies with Development Agencies or in an International NGO setting.
- At least three years of relevant experience in Digitalization for Learning strategies.
- Required Knowledge and Skills
- You have broad and in-depth understanding of the various aspects of international cooperation;
- Experience and familiarity in using on-line Learning portals in the implementation of Learning strategies for Employees;
- Current knowledge of effective Learning and Development methods for an organisation that is passionate about the Learning and career development of Employees;
- Knowledge and Understanding of the Labour Laws of the Republic of Uganda;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with Professionalism;
- Very good information and communication technology skills (Excellent knowledge of MS office and internet) ;
- Experience and knowledge in Leadership and People Management;
- Ability to exhibit engagement, sense of responsibility and integrity;
- Fully registered member of the Human Resource Association of Uganda.

A salary package that comprises the monthly gross salary between UGX 7,000,000 and UGX 8,000,000 which is commensurate with experience and in accordance with our salary scales, medical insurance and a 13th Month package paid in December.
