Job Summary: The Final Distribution Point Team Leader will lead the delivery of General Food Distribution and complementary/cross cutting interventions to refugees in designated FDPs and locations in conformity with set SOPs from time to time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take lead of in kind and cash based Food distribution at the FDPs or designated locations in conformity with set SOPs and with dignity to the POCs.
- Ensure that respective final distribution points are fully prepared and ready for the food/cash distribution interventions (Taking charge of the FDP environment in totality).
- Spearhead community mobilization, sensitization and liaison with the local structures in the refugee settlement and local community (FMC, CMC, RWCs, Partners, Local Leaders etc) for a smooth and successful delivery of General Food Assistance interventions.
- Manage and adequately account for all food commodities, Equipment and NFIs delivered to the Distribution site, through absolute use of all set protocols, guidelines, good practices including any enriched innovations to eliminate any loss or wastage.
- Ensure adequate visibility, communication and organization during GFA intervention.
- Selection and capacity building of casual labourers, FMCs, CMCs amongst others.
- Support in ensuring that protection and gender issues are streamlined at the FDP (Support PSNs, promote dignity, etc).
- Take lead in the implementation of assigned complementary and cross cutting interventions (CBT and market strengthening, Gender and protection, AAP, Food security and nutrition sensitive interventions, and Environmental and climate resilience).
- Provide field level support supervision, mentorship and capacity building of co- partners engaged in the GFA project.
- Ensure COVID19 and Other Disease Prevention/response SOPs are implemented and streamlined within all GFA interventions
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a University Bachelor Degree from a recognized University, preferably in the fields of; Agriculture, Business and development studies.
- A relevant work experience in implementing General Food Assistance, Food security and work with refugees or similar humanitarian setting.
- Excellent planning, organizing skills, problem solving and experience in implementation of good systems to track commodities transactions and accountability.
- Possess a broad knowledge and innovative capabilities to deliver GFA complementary and cross cutting interventions in Humanitarian setting.
- Requires excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability in relating with communities and local governmental authorities.
- Able to work in demanding environment and adaptable to rapidly changing contexts.
- Good at data collection, information generation and quality report writing with adequate computer utilization abilities.
