About US:

Rikolto in East Africa is part of the Rikolto network, an international NGO with more than 40 years of experience in partnering with farmer organisations and food chain actors across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Rikolto aims to contribute to the development of a dynamic, sustainable and inclusive agricultural sector with family farmers providing quality produce for own consumption and for diverse markets (national, regional and international markets).

Currently, we are implementing a rice program and our Food Smart Cities program (FSC), where we work on making safe, affordable, and healthy food available for all in cities. Generation Food is a three-step project consisting of a Hackathon, Bootcamp, and Incubation phase, that empowers Youth to start their enterprise in the Agricultural value chain and is a vital part of this program.

Generation Food will be run in partnership with SHONA, a Ugandan-based business development organization. More information on the program can be found on the website of Shona and Rikolto East Africa. We are therefore looking for a young and motivated professional to assist us in facilitating the Generation Food program implementation in Gulu, Uganda.
