About US:

Jubilee Insurance
operations in Uganda were revived in 1992 by the formation of The Jubilee
Insurance Company of Uganda Limited whose shareholders at that time were the
Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, Geneva, the International Finance
Corporation and the Development Finance Company of Uganda Limited. Today,
Jubilee is Uganda’s No. 1 Insurer. Our product lines include a wide range of
personal and commercial insurance covers, Group Life, Pension Plans and Medical
Insurance. However, the insurance Amendment Act 2011 in Uganda required
composite companies to separate short term and long-term business. This led to
the formation of Jubilee Life Insurance Company of Uganda Limited (JLICU) in
September 2014 which operates as a fully independent company.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Maintaining
and upgrading existing systems in relation to the organization standards.

·       
Writing
and implementing efficient code.

·       
Developing
and deploying software tools, processes, and metrics.

·       
Working
closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts not
to deviate from the group standards.

·       
Support
in daily IT issues like system integration data flow, system maintenance, user
administration and others.

·       
Any
other duties as assigned by management from time to time

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant
must hold a bachelor’s degree or Advanced diploma in Computer science, software
development or any relevant studies.

·       
Good
understanding of web development technologies.

·       
Good
Knowledge of PHP/Laravel experience, API Development (JSON), Oracle PL/SQL,
HTML5/JS/JQuery, Bootstrap Framework, AWS development/deployment.

·

·       
Good
personal grooming
