Job Title:  SME Officer (Fresher Job Opportunities)

Job Summary:  The SME Officer is responsible for growing of the SME portfolio (Assets and Liabilities) by recruitment of new clients whilst maintaining the existing clients and the quality of the portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Growth

• Open new accounts for liability mobilization
• Recruit SME loan clients to achieve loan disbursement and portfolio growth targets.
• Assessment of potential loan clients to make sure they meet the required standards for borrowing from OBUL.
• Relationship Management of existing customers
• Cross Sell Bank Products to new and existing customers of the bank

Monitoring and managing portfolio

• Monitor portfolio by tracking all clients, identifying any potential default cases and developing mitigants for them.
• Ensure clients comply with the OBUL policies as well as terms and conditions attached to loans.
• Maintain the PAR of one’s portfolio within the bank’s PAR quality standards

Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports to the branch management team and SME manager and discuss weekly performance with immediate supervisor. Building customer relationship and care
• Maintain relationships by visiting clients and solving any customer related issues raised by them.
• Customer service, handling client inquiries and guiding them on how to apply for loans, use the bank’s payment channels

Recovery

• Participate in loan recovery where needed

Occasional Duties

• Stand in for the manager/ supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related course.
• Experience in banking with good knowledge of Credit
• Must have been a Relationship officer for at least 2 years.
• Analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Ability to understand broader business issues
• Planning and organization
• Negotiation and diplomacy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, highly motivated, passionate, results driven, able to work autonomously as

well as part of a group, resilient and hard working.
