Job Title: Project Officer – Vanilla Innovation and Expansion Fund Administration (Re-Advertized)

Project Summary:

The Vines Project, implemented by CRS Uganda, is a five-year, $13 million Food for Progress project that will make Uganda the world’s next leading supplier of high-quality vanilla. Vines will leverage the expertise of CRS and its partners to enhance the production of safe, pure vanilla and develop sustainable market links with US vanilla companies, directly transforming the lives of 16,200 farmers, 836 supply chain actors and create 15,820 new jobs to reach 32,856 vanilla stakeholders.

 

Job Summary: As part of the VINES Project operations team, you will be responsible for leading the management of administrative, financial, and technical issues related to the project’s partnerships with vanilla processors funded under the Vanilla Innovation and Expansion Fund (VIEF), ensuring compliance with all CRS and donor regulations. Your coordination and relationship management skills will ensure effective and efficient management of VIEF Beneficiaries’ awards and coordination between Vines team and VIEF partners. He/she will oversee the VIEF process, ensuring timely reporting and accountability and monitoring program delivery and impact of the partnerships.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Bachelor of Commerce, BBA, Development studies or social works and social administration with post graduate diploma in project planning and management, Business Computing, International relations, or any relevant field. Post graduate degree MBA, or Msc finance preferred.
  • At least five years of work experience in grants management, development project support, finance, or business ideally in international development with INGO.
  • Experience working with partners, participatory action planning and operational engagement.
  • Experience monitoring project budgets and expenditure tracking
  • Strong aptitude using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
