The Company has undertaken to be the Distributer of JMS in the Greater Masaka region, involved in storage and sale of products, including pharmaceuticals, medical and surgical sundries, equipment and instrument as well as laboratory supplies. Therefore MDMSL distributes pharmaceutical supplies exclusively from JMS assured of their quality, safety and availability at all times to her consumers. MDMSL supplies these products to Government health facilities, PNFPs, Private for Profit health facilities, NGOs and well as pharmacies and drug shops within Greater Masaka.
Job Summary: The Data Officers will support the Monitoring and Evaluation Function of the OVC program in the district by overseeing data collection and reporting for the program as guided by USAID/MDMS. The district data officer will work with the District OVC program officer to ensure that clean and complete OVC data is collected, documented, and reported in a timely manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing OVC reporting in registers, UDOTS and OVCMIS for district.
- Monitoring OVC progress to target by program/thematic area for the district.
- Training data entrants in entering data in the UDOTS.
- Overseeing case file management and documentation within the allocated district.
- Monitoring daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly data entry into the UDOTS and OVCMIS within the district.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in Records, ICT, quantitative economics, population studies, or any other related field including training in health-related courses. A bachelor’s degree in Statistics is an added advantage.
- Experience in health management information systems (HMIS, UDOTS, OVCMIS, and DHIS2).
- Competence in Computer applications like, MS excel and MS access.
- Ability to work in a rural and multi-cultural environment especially at sub county level.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
