Traidlinks is looking to recruit an individual to be responsible for the promotion of the Enterprise Centre within the Hoima and Masindi Regions, in line with Tullow Oil’s Local Content Strategy. This Strategy will have clearly defined communications objectives integrated with the Enterprise Centre’s objectives for the Hoima and Masindi Regions.

Responsibilities /Key Objectives:
Regional
1. Be the first point of call for all media queries in the regions and respond to information requests from the general public.
2. Research and write articles for media publications – including press releases.
3. Develop and maintain/update a series of information notice boards in strategic locations in the Hoima and Masindi regions.
4. In conjunction with Project Managers and key partners organise information events,workshops, seminars etc.
5. Build strong, positive relationships with key media people in the Hoima and Masindi areas.
6. Develop and maintain the Enterprise Centre website.
Internal
7. Work with Traidlinks, key Tullow communications staff, Community Liaison Officers and other key stakeholders to develop, agree and deliver a strategic communications and marketing plan for the Enterprise projects in Hoima. This will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect new emerging priorities.
8.. Collate and provide written, photo and video updates on all Enterprise Centre, Agriculture Supply Chain activities in the Hoima and Masindi areas.
9. Develop and provide high quality written, photo and video case studies of businesses participating in Enterprise programme in Hoima. These should be used on the Enterprise Centre’s website and available for stakeholders’ use.
10. Develop and produce regular e-zine publications.
11. Develop and maintain media books, as appropriate.
Others:
1. Effectively manage a promotions budget agreed with the Enterprise Development Project Manager
2. Organise training and mentoring for programme staff involved in media interview in Uganda.
3. Receive and host key visitors to the Enterprise Centre, as advised by the Enterprise Development Project Manager.
4. Assist with general administrative duties in the Enterprise Centre as required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Experience and Education: Essential

• Bachelor’s degree with a bias in Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years proven experience in a communications and/or public relations role (required)
• Minimum 4 years proven experience in a communications and/or public relations role (required)
. Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
• Good working knowledge of website development and social media.
