Our Client Total E&P Uganda is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidates for the above vacancy;
Position: Bio-diversity Field Officer Job Ref: ESA604
Main Job Responsibilities:
· Develop, update and monitor the Company’s bio-diversity strategy and co-ordinate with other environmental strategies to ensure the implementation of a phased long-term bio-diversity program.
· Relate biodiversity issues faced in the Murchison Falls National Park and ensure that all operational and associated activities meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
· Job holder will be permanently based in the Albertine Region, Exploration Area 1
Qualifications and Experience:
· University degree or equivalent in Ecology, biodiversity assessment or monitoring.
· A proven track record of working in one or more of the following areas: behavioral observation of animals, applied botany, wetland or fisheries natural resource management, or management of large-scale conservation projects.
· Previous experience in the GIS/GPS spatial data collection is a plus.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
