Summary: The Senior Quality Improvement Advisor –
Maternal, Newborn , Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) will
provide technical and other support at national, health facility and community
levels, leading to quality improvement in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health
(MNCH).

Key Duties &
Responsibilities:

- Support development and timely
submission of work plans and budgets. - Hold regular activities to assess
and build necessary competencies. - Review and improve technical
strategies employed to ensure the USAID ASSIST project work plan is
adhered to and implemented with measurable success. - Support the submission of quality
and accurate technical reports quarterly, biweekly, and at all other
requested times. - Ensure that cross-cutting themes
like gender, health workforce development and leadership are well
integrated into activities. - In collaboration with the Knowledge
Management staff, support the process of documenting best practices in
form of case studies, success stories, abstracts, video clips in addition
to the routine biweekly updates, quarterly and annual reports. - In collaboration with the Monitoring
and Evaluation team ensure that data collected is accurate and valid and
captures process and outcome indicators. - Provide technical supervision to
quality improvement advisors and officers working under him or her. - Any other duties assigned by the
supervisor
Qualification, Skills
& Experience:

- Degree in Medicine and registered
with the Uganda Medical and Dental practitioners Council. - Post Graduate degree in Health
related field preferably Public Health and/or Pediatrics. - At least Five years of experience in
coordinating activities of different stakeholders at a national level. - Demonstrated ability to manage
projects from start up to successful completion. - Experience in Quality Improvement
approaches. - Experience in Clinical training of
service providers.
- Proficient in relevant computer
applications and databases. - Strong analytical, oral and written
communication skills. - Excellent past performance
references (contacts should be provided at time of application).
