Job
Summary:
This role will
be responsible for proactively and systematically developing new direct sales
business by managing, developing and mentoring the direct sales teams’
performance to achieve set growth plans and sales targets.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide
    leadership, direction and development to all aspects of the Smile direct
    sales teams incl. Corporate Sales.
  • Participate
    in the development of sales processes, monitor adherence to sales
    processes and recommend changes to any inconsistencies that may hinder
    sales within the direct sales channel.
  • Implement
    direct sales strategies/ plans and accurately and proactively manage
    revenue sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate
    sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes for all direct sales
    teams. 
  • Collate
    and ensure timely submission of sales reports and other intelligence
    essential to the sales organization.
  • Manage
    the Smile direct sales operations and support including: target setting
    and route plans for the direct sales teams, reporting, inventory and
    logistics, commissions and incentive schemes, processes, governance,
    training, sales promotions/activities in liaison with the relevant
    departments.
  • Motivate
    and manage direct sales partners to exceed sales objectives by
    continuously striving to minimize conflict, provide education of the Smile
    value proposition, merchandising support and identifying sales
    opportunities.
  • Keep
    up to date with market trends, competition and new products and make
    appropriate recommendations to drive sales and revenue generation.
  • Contribute
    to the development of sales campaigns and collateral material and how it
    can be applied across the direct sales channels.
  • Provide
    a single point of contact for direction regarding product information,
    pricing and technical support.
  • Ensure
    superior customer service in line with Smile’s brand promise throughout
    all Smile direct sales channels.
  • Co-ordinate
    with other functions to efficiently and effectively execute direct sales
    channel development and management. Ensure goals and plans are effectively
    communicated, understood and applied.
  • Provide
    any other ad-hoc duties assigned to you from time to time by the Head of
    Distribution & Sales or any other person appointed by the Company for
    this purpose.
 Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • OPCO
    Direct Sales Force customer (gross and net ads) and revenue targets.
  • Optimal
    Smile direct sales channel presence throughout Smile’s coverage area.
  • Effective
    and efficient logistics network.
  • Effective
    management of key local direct sales partners.
  • Superior
    level of customer services in line with the Smile brand promise.
  • Efficient
    allocation of resources, support and training.
  • Compliance
    to Smile sales and cash handling processes
 Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree
    in Business, Marketing, Sales or other business related degree.
  • At
    least 5 years’ experience in distribution and sales to the consumer market
    with at least 3 years and senior management level.
  • Operational
    sales experience indirect sales channels, distribution, logistics and
    marketing.
  • Experience
    in Telecom or industry will be of added advantage.
  • Strong
    sales and distribution background.
  • Strong
    leadership, communication and project management skills.
  • Strong
    organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent
    analytical and problem solving skills with process focus/mindset.
  • Proven
    ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated
    influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong
    self-starter and able to drive initiatives independently.
  • Accustomed
    to field based rather than office based role.
  • Flexible
    to work long hours and weekends with occasional in country travel.
