Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains
financial records and financial transactions in the GSM environment ; - When authorized,
make petty cash disbursements, maintain records of them and balance
accounts as duly obliged. - Initiate setting
up of HR plans , identify and include positions in HR plans , update
position parameters and submit for approval ; - Assist the new
staff or those leaving the WHO on opening or closing bank accounts,
exchanging currency and offering expertise in financial aspects. - Initiate mapping of
positions to tasks and awards ; - Assists in
generating reports from the Global Management System ; also prepares
recurring reports as scheduled and special reports as required to
facilitate financial implementation analysis; - Perform any other
duties as assigned.
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
Skills & Experience:
- Completion of
secondary school education and/or equivalent technical or commercial
education with specialization in accounting, budgeting of finance. - Diploma or higher
education in accounting or finance will be an added advantage. - 2-4 years
experience with 3-5 years experience in Finance, Budgeting and/or
accounting activities. - Ability to plan ,
organize, coordinate and implement inputs from several sources to the
express ideas clearly and concisely , both orally and in writing to
conceptualize and carry-out tasks with little supervision; interpret financial
rules and regulations ; - Establish and
maintain effective working relationships with people of different national
and cultural backgrounds. - Experience in the
United Nations or other multi-national organizations or NGOs would be an
added advantage. - Personal
Competencies: Self management,
Results driven, Excellent team ethic, Cultural diversity.
Language: Excellent Knowledge of English and Swahili
