that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in
another State, with the option to return home voluntarily, integrate locally or
to resettle in a third country. It also has a mandate to help stateless people.

Key Duties
& Responsibilities:

- The job holder will
maintain financial records and other office accounts for which
responsibility is assigned - Code and record receipts
and payments, ensure accuracy of computation and completeness of documents
and maintain status of allotments against obligations - Prepare recurring reports
on assigned accounts, noting problems resulting from excess costs or less
than expected receipts. Prepares special reports to clarify problems as
requested. - Prepare routine
correspondences and maintain personal and telephone contacts with others
to discuss matters concerning accounts and related assignments. - Maintain contacts with
local banks to clarify questions pertaining to bank accounts
- Brief and assist
newly-arrived International staff, experts and consultants on basic
financial procedures and requirements with respect payments, entitlements,
banking and currency provisions and other requirements relating to
accounts and finance. - Calculate and compiles
cost estimates and projected budget requirements and assist in the
preparation of budget statements for area of assignment. - Perform other duties as
instructed.
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
Skills & Experience:
- The prospective employee
should have completed secondary education and possess post-secondary
certificate in financial, accounting and commercial course. - The candidate should
possess at least five years previous job experience in a related or
similar job role

- Fluency in both written
and oral English. - Knowledge of another UN
or local language
