agriculture in Northern Uganda. As we look forward to Increased quality distribution
of goods in the area and become a lead agency for Distribution in Uganda.

Job Summary:  The purpose of this position is to perform
tasks related to driving YGM vehicles entrusted to you in a safe and economical
manner in conjunction with YGM policy and the traffic laws and regulations of
Uganda in Arua Office

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       Always ensure
safety of passengers & luggage by observing speed limits, use of seat
belts, proper communication and
use of YGM travel guidelines.

·       Maintain
vehicles allocated in sound mechanical condition by washing and/or cleaning of
vehicles and ensure that
vehicles are fueled and serviced promptly

·       Report any
faults and/or breakdowns and accidents immediately and ensure First Aid Kits are complete and spare
& tools are in allocated vehicle.

·       Ensure that all
vehicles have log sheets and pen to maintain accurate vehicle records to ensure that all trips, fuel fill-ups, time and
mileage readings are recorded.

·       Submit all vehicle log sheets as and when
required and check vehicle on daily basis and submit check list report.

·       Check on vehicle
comprehensive and 3rd party insurance and ensure that vehicle comprehensive and 3rd party insurance is valid, Inform
Transport Controller 2 weeks in advance of renewals.

·       Road test and
certify all vehicles from the garages

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       The ideal
applicant should have at least O level Certificate with 3 Years Driving and Mechanical
Experience.

·       Certificates/Licenses:
Class A, B, CM, and DM Driver’s License.

·       Effective
inter-personal skills and consensus-building., Demonstrated experience of
integrity and professionalism.

·       Self-reliance
and an ability to work in a
challenging and demanding environment and demonstrated experience of integrity
and professionalism.

·       Ability to work
in partnership with local communities and NGOs as appropriate and understanding of the geographical area of assignment.

·       Fluency in oral
and written English and local language.

·       Service-oriented
with focus on meeting customer needs

·       Well-organized
and able to manage multiple tasks.

·       Very good
negotiation and relationship management
skills

·       Proactive,
resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented
