Job Summary: The Program Assistant – Communication and Media
Supervisor Program Manager is responsible for managing all internal and
external communications for the organisation ensuring its messages are
consistent. He/She is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated
communications strategy to increase awareness and recognition for the
organisation work. This is a high impact job
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism,
Public Relations or related field
·
Two
years of prior experience in a communications or advocacy role
·
Understand
the best practices of main social media channels including Twitter, Facebook,
Instagram, Pinterest, etc
·
Must
possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate
content
·
Strong
communicator who works well independently and with a team
·
Superior
time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
·
Knowledge
of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
·
Understanding
of communications, public relations and branding best practices
·
Ability
to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
·
Must be
resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
