About UBTEB:
Uganda Business and Technical
Examinations Board (UBTEB) is one of the national Examinations Boards in
Uganda. This is a professional Examinations Board with the mandate to
streamline, regulate, coordinate and conduct credible examinations and award
Certificates and Diplomas in the Business, Technical and Vocational
professions. The Board therefore conducts Business, Technical and Vocational
examinations, including Applied Science specialties such as Biological Sciences
(Agricultural, Fisheries, Wildlife, Forestry, Bee Keeping and other related
fields), Physical Sciences (Meteorology, Surveys and Land Management, and other
related fields), Cooperatives, Social Development, Hotel, Catering and Tourism.
UBTEB is committed to conduct quality applied knowledge and skills examinations
with an ultimate goal of enabling the students to access further upward
academic progressions and employment in the world of work.
Job Summary: The Front
Desk Officer will carry out customer reception and general management of the
front office of UBTEB.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring
    good client relations and customer care as the culture of University.
  • Ensuring
    correct information and messages are transmitted or provided at all times
  • Ensuring
    efficient use of the telephone system at the switch board
  • Receiving
    visitors and directing them to the Officers who the wish to see.
  • Handling
    inquiries from visitors/clients and refer them to other officers where
    necessary. Receiving and transmitting messages to members of staff Looking
    after the telephone equipment and reporting any faults to the
    Administrative Officer.
  • Receive,
    direct and relay/re-direct telephone messages and fax messages
  • Receive,
    open, date stamp and direct mails and other correspondences to the right
    office Perform any other relevant duty as assigned by the relevant
    Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant should hold and honours degree in Education, or Humanities or a
    field examinable by the Board with a certificate in Customer Care or
    Public Relations.
  • A
    certificate in Office Practice and administration or Front desk management
    is an added advantage.
Age Limit: Less Than 40
