About Us:
Mountains of the
Moon University was established in 2005 as not for profit community university
whose ownership is expressed through the various representative communities
which include, the districts, municipalities, religious communities and the
business communities of the Rwenzori region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lend
    a hand to the programme coordinator in implementation of the project
    objectives
  • Managing
    the VLIR-IUC programme finances
  • Provide
    administrative services to VLIR-IUC participants
  • Ensuring
    effective communication and reporting within the VLIR-IUC programme
  • Facilitate
    administrative arrangement for Ugandan and visiting project team members.
  • Manage
    the procurement of goods and services
  • Develop
    and maintain VLIR-IUC programme data base
  • Manage
    the project support unit.
  • Write
    and review projects
  • Monitor
    and evaluate the project.
  • Report
    about all the activities of the project
  • Account
    for all the project resources.
  • Perform
    any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The
    applicant should hold a Master’s degree in Business (project planning and
    management), Agricultural Science (agro- business or extension
    agriculture) or equivalent.
  • PhD
    is an added advantage.
  • At
    least five years of working experience managing an international project.
  • Good
    project proposal writing skills, project management and management skills
    and communication skills
  • Good
    analytical and decision making skills.
