Bishop Stuart
University (Recognized and licensed by the National Council for Higher
Education) is a Church of Uganda founded private University located within
Mbarara Municipality. The University has a student enrollment of about 5000
with over 45 Academic programs accredited by NCHE and has got international linkages
to boost its quality education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the classification of reading materials,
    cataloguing and catalogue maintenance
  • Stock taking and maintenance of Library stock
  • Compiling of bibliographic records
  • Supervision, guidance and training of Library
    attendants, students on internship programs and other non-professional
    Library workers.
  • Perform any other job duties assigned by the immediate
    supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The Library Assistant should hold a Diploma in Library
    and Information Science from a recognized University. Higher professional
    qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • At least two or more years’ experience in library work.
