About NUDIPU: 
The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) in
partnership with her development partners – University College London, UK- has
secured funds to implement Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) impact
evaluation research project in Uganda. The project aims at designing a model of
impact evaluation for Community Based Rehabilitation for Disabled People (CBR)
and an evaluation toolkit for use in diverse contexts globally.

Key Duties
& Responsibilities:
  • Clearly communicate and coordinate with
    the UCL research team (Mary Wickenden and colleagues) in all matters by
    email/Skype in a timely fashion, through submission of verbal and written
    reports on activities, (weekly at minimum, and immediately (within the
    day) for any exceptional circumstances that may arise.
  • Communication and coordination with the
    Kayanga District CBR programme officers and staff about field work
    activities (e.g. details about timings, information for and recruitment of
    participants, transport, venues, networking with local stakeholders etc.)
  • Arrange meetings with boundary
    partners(local CSOs, DPOs, service providers) and families with disabled
    members in a noble, professional and dignified manner
  • Take lead in the organisation and running
    of fieldwork activities, including group meetings, focus groups,
    individual interviews and other participatory activities (e.g. mapping,
    ranking, rating etc.)
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by
    supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The Research Coordinator must hold a Postgraduate
    degree or post graduate diploma in relevant subject: e.g. community
    development, social work, sociology, anthropology, disability or
    development studies, health or education professions
  • Practical experience of carrying out an
    academic research project in a relevant subject
  • Significant experience of quantitative and
    qualitative data management
  • Prior experience of working in a
    non-discriminatory and equitable way in relation to gender, disability,
    age or other factors
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Good Language skills
  • Post graduate level of English in reading,
    writing, understanding and speaking
  • Fluent and able to translate to and from
    Luganda and English
