positions above in Nakivale Refugee Settlement with UNHCR Funding.
Job Summary: The Social
Worker will provide Psychosocial support and counseling to Refugees in Nakivale
Settlement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify PSN /EVIs and all POCs in the
    settlement, assess and verify needs of PSNs
  • Link / coordinate PSNs with the relevant
    sectors eg. Livelihoods for support
  • Give advice and provide referrals to all
    PoCs including new arrivals for various services
  • Provide psycho social counseling services
    to all PoCs in need and provide referrals
  • Support Community sector during the
    distribution of NFIs and Sanitary materials and Youth activities in the
    Refugees settlement
  • Expected to receive referrals needs from
    UNHCR, OPM and protection
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The Social Worker should possess a
    Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Community Psychology, Education,
    Development studies
  • Additional Certificate in Counseling
    Services
  • At least three years’ experience in
    Community Development services with an International NGO (INGO)
  • Excellent report writing, communication
    and analytical skills.
