Officer will be responsible for managing support functions essential to
marketing which includes the implementation and execution of integrated
marketing campaigns, media plans, advertising, public relations, organising
events, sponsorships, promotions, activations and managing the production of
branded and sales support materials.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the strategic planning of annual
or long term marketing plans to drive forward agreed marketing objectives. - Charged with the execution of brand building,
trade and promotional activities in line with strategy and within budget. - Works collaboratively with agencies, liaising
with suppliers, internal and external designers to produce material of
visual impact within our brand guidelines; Creative, Media, PR, Events and
Production. - Organises and coordinates with various trade
partners, vendors or stake holders on relevant events/activations to
achieve marketing objectives. - Sources advertising opportunities as per
marketing plan and places approved adverts in the press, on radio – local,
regional and national and in specialist publications depending on the
campaign. - Manages the production of in-house promotional
marketing materials, including brochures, leaflets, posters, flyers,
newsletters. - Arranges the effective distribution of marketing
materials among the different sales channels and ensures that the minimum
stock levels are maintained and stock is properly monitored in close
coordination with the Sales Operations function. - Partners with the marketing manager to oversee
day-to-day process execution, develop and monitor adherence to policy and
process guidelines, identifying gaps or problem areas, taking corrective
action and/or making appropriate recommendations. - Participates in regular continuous improvement
reviews with marketing, sales and distribution team members. - Provide any other ad hoc duties assigned from
time to time by the Senior Manager Marketing or any other person appointed
by the Company for this purpose
- Achievement of department strategic objectives
and company’s sales targets (all Marketing activities must focus on
delivering the company’s sales targets) - Accountable for on-time implementation of
marketing targets and KPIs within budget (relevant Marketing OPEX) - Accurate and timely reporting
- Effective and efficient logistics network
- Compliance with Smile marketing processes
- Timely and successful marketing event execution
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree
or diploma in Marketing with specialization in Advertising, Communications
Planning, Brand Building - A minimum of three years’ marketing experience
- Strong marketing background preferably in
Telecom and FMCG - Prior supervisory experience
- Worked with an advertising / marketing agency
- Strong self-starter and able to drive
initiatives independently - Good communications and project management
skills - Flexible to work long hours and weekends with
occasional in country travel - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple
priorities simultaneously - Excellent organization skills with superior
attention to detail.
