Job Summary: The Regional People and Culture (HR) Officer
will primarily support the strategic direction of regional operations through
provision of HR technical support in human resource management in accordance
with World Vision Uganda (WVU) policies and professionally accepted HR
management principles.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement
systems, analyze and prepare procurement information for decision-making
and provide support to project staff in line with the World Vision Uganda
procurement policy - Carry out the
procurement of goods and services based on agreed specifications in line
with procurement policies and guidelines. - Prepare contracts for
specialized works and services (Consultancies), award contracts to
selected vendors and monitor their implementation in line with procurement
policies and guidelines - Conduct systematic and
procedural disposal of fixed assets and obsolete inventory in line with
the World Vision asset disposal policy. - Carry out vendor
surveys and analysis, appraise and rate existing suppliers in line with
the departmental business plan. - Process and forward to
financial accounts department, supplier payment documents for goods and
services and carry out periodic analysis of costs per Project/Department/
Division - Prepare monthly and
annual reports on departmental activities in accordance with the World
Vision Policies and Procedures. - Perform any other
duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Finance Officer.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The World Vision
Procurement Officer must hold a University Degree in Procurement and
Supply Chain Management or its equivalent, a post graduate qualification
in Procurement and Supply Chain management is an added advantage. - Three or more years’
experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management - Excellent computer
literacy skills - Excellent written and
Oral Communication skills. - Must be a team
builder, able to work successfully in a multicultural environment. - Possess a high level
of integrity - The applicant should
ideally be a self starter and results oriented - All candidates must be
mature and committed Christians, able to demonstrate an active involvement
with their faith and also able to appreciate and stand above
denominational diversities.
