The keep it real is a youth centered Sexuality education program that
aims to increase access to youth-centred CSE among young people in and out of
school from 10 to 24 years, improve the delivery of CSE through schools and
community groups, link young people with youth-friendly health services,
improve coordination of national and local actors on CSE and engage youth as
advocates and researchers on CSE. The project is implemented in the districts
of Nwoya, Agago and Kampala.

Job Summary: The Program Specialist for the Save the Children
Keep It Real Project will primarily oversee the Planning implementation,
monitoring and evaluation and reporting on the Project for Kampala based
intervention. He/she will support the Senior Officers and Local Project
Implementing partners to deliver project outputs in a timely manner. The
Specialist may also be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency
team in cases of humanitarian crisis.
Keep It Real Project will primarily oversee the Planning implementation,

intervention. He/she will support the Senior Officers and Local Project

Specialist may also be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- The Program Specialist
should ideally hold a good bachelor’s degree in Education, Health, Social
Science, or related field or equivalent accrued working experience, with
skills and experience in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health, Social and behavior change focused
programming or HIV programming, is a distinct advantage. - Additional Post
graduate diploma in project planning and management is an added advantage. - A minimum of six years’
experience on youth-centred approaches to education or health that takes
SRHR priorities or gender as a point of departure; with at least 3 years
at management level in an international NGO and experience managing and
working in partnerships. - Prior experience of
working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights
Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is
an added advantage. - Excellent analytical
skills and strategic planning abilities. - Possess the ability to
establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively
as a member of a team. - Willingness to travel
and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions. - Computer literacy and
excellent documentation skills are a must. - Availability and
willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses. - Highly developed
cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international
environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures - Ability to intervene
with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary. - Highly developed
interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation
and coaching - Excellent time
management and planning capacity. - Availability and
willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
