Job Summary: Umeme’s HR Business Partners (HRBP) will
support business objectives with departmental, employees and management in the
designated business units. The HRBPs will serve as consultants to the Head of
department on HR related issues, especially talent, resourcing, Organisational
Development and performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Acts
    as a focal point of contact for the employees and managers in the business
    unit.
  • Carry
    out periodical process meetings with respective business units to align
    business unit strategies with employees and management.
  • Consult
    with business unit line leadership and provide robust HR interventions and
    guidance.
  • Analyze
    trends and metrics in partnership with HR back-office to develop
    solutions, programs and policies.
  • Offers
    day to day performance management guidance to line management.
  • In
    charge of talent and career development planning and implementation in the
    departments.
  • Provides
    direction and input into business unit restructures, workforce planning,
    succession planning.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal Umeme candidate for the Human Resource Business partner should be a Professional
    and senior HR talent, with broad experience and expertise across the
    various HR work streams, especially proficiency in key HR Strategic approaches
  • Highly
    ambitious, results-oriented and self-directed.
  • The
    candidate must also possess a good Human Resource Degree or a degree in a  related discipline.
