Job Summary: The Talent Manager for Umeme will be mainly charged with driving talent management strategies, tools and processes including succession planning, career pipelining, talent assessment, and development planning to meet the current and future business needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with key stakeholders including Heads of departments, management and senior leadership to analyze talent needs, and design long term talent solutions.
- Design and be custody of the Annual and Multi Year Talent Plans, taking critical interest in the critical talent skills needs for the business.
- Act as the project leader for the implementation and continued evolution of talent management functionality in the areas of performance management, succession planning and competency management.
- Develop appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to building accountability, measure results and optimize the impact of the strategic talent management function.
- Identify high-impact positions, career paths and development opportunities that are essential in developing leaders and ensuring talent is available to meet long-term business objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Talent Manager must have a demonstrated track record of successfully rolling out and managing talent schemes from concept to implementation.
- The candidate must have extensive knowledge of contemporary Human Resource structure, processes and technologies and understanding of talent management software systems.
- The applicant must also ideally possess a basic Human Resource Degree or a degree in a related discipline.
