About ACTED: 
ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is a non-political and non-confessional international NGO food security, health promotion, economic development, education, microfinance, institutional support and regional founded in 1993 and headquartered in Paris, France. ACTED’s vocation is to save lives, assist vulnerable dialogue as well as cultural promotion. For its programs in Northern Uganda, Karamoja and Kampala, ACTED is looking populations and bring hope to those in need for a better future. ACTED is active in 20 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Central America and develops about 150 projects yearly in diversified activities such as emergency relief, food security, economic development, health promotion, education, microfinance, regional dialogue, institutional support as well as cultural promotion.
Job Summary: The Program Manager takes leadership and oversight through the project life cycle, supervision of program technical team, guide project implementation and all relevant follow JR support fiscal and budget planning, implement ACTED -financial, logistics, administration and compliance processes, in support of all activities, coordination with partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders, produce narrative reports to line manager as required, input to proposal development and other reporting tools, ensure adherence to ACTED processes and procedures. The incumbent also ensures compliance with contractual obligations and project scope.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal vacancy for the ACTED Program Manager vacancy should hold a Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development or relevant Social Sciences;
  • At least three years’ project management experience, managing/leading technical teams, Excellent planning and organization skills, intermediate Word /Excel,
  • Past experience implementing donor funded projects, relevant logistics, finance training preferred , international donor funded projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent Report writing skills.
  • Possess the ability to work well in teams.
  • The ideal candidates should exhibit high professionalism and confidence
  • Also be highly self-motivated, experienced and committed team players
  • Preferably, the candidates should be resident in the areas of the indicated duty stations
