Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- The job holder assists
travelers making travel arrangements to include making recommendations,
consistent with all travel regulations and post guidance, about travel
routes, lodging options, per diem allowances, mixed transport options,
etc. - Advises USG direct hire
staff about their travel related entitlements and ensures that their
travel authorizations conform to the regulations. - Actively coordinates with
the Travel Agent/Contractor and Customs & Shipping staff to ensure
that travel related permissions/formalities (visas, medical, time, etc)
are adhered to. - Works closely with Travel
Agent/Contractor to ensure that tickets are issued for properly approved
travel authorizations. - Maintains recordkeeping
to support validation and research needs, with a focus on softcopy
recordkeeping wherever possible. - Working with relevant
Management Section staff, maintains appropriate contacts with travel
vendors. - Coordinates with relevant
staff to ensure that the travel needs of Mission visitors (including 100s
of VIPs per year) are appropriately serviced.

- The applicant should hold
a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration,
management or finance is required. - The applicant should
possess six years working experience. Specifically: five years of
progressively responsible administrative management experience in public
health field or a health-related international development organization;
and an additional one year of experience at the managerial level that
includes direct supervision of staff. - Language required: Level IV (fluency –
speaking/reading/writing in English) is required. - Good knowledge of Agency
and applicable inter agency management operations, to include financial
management, human resources, procurement and contracting (including
grants, contracts and/or cooperative agreement audit and accounting
requirements), travel, IT, and other administrative procedures,
regulations, and requirements is required. - Broad knowledge and
understanding of leadership and management strategies and models is also
required. - The ability to assess
problems and develop realistic solutions (how to plan for and administer
available resources of funds, personnel and equipment in the best interest
of PEPFAR program objectives) is required. - Excellent inter-personal
skills in order to coordinate with USG and implementing/cooperating
partners to ensure mutual cooperation are required. - Ability to plan budget
expenditures to meet PEPFAR-program needs is required. - Ability to coordinate and
negotiate effectively with host government, ICASS providers and
inter-agency partners is required. Intermediate user level of word
processing, spreadsheets and databases is required. - A facility to work with
higher mathematical calculations for purposed of reporting is required.
