Reports to: Senior Nutritionist
About AHA:
Africa Humanitarian Action is a non-governmental non-
profit making organization that provides health services to refugees on behalf
of UNHCR. Our mission is to respond to crises and disasters in Africa; to
enhance communities at risk, so they can solve their concerns themselves.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Participating in planning,
    budgeting, directing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating nutritional
    programmes of the organization.
  • Managing and accounting
    for the allocated resources.
  • Providing guidance on the
    purchasing of food and planning other activities.
  • Designing special diets
    for therapeutic purposes.
  • Advising/counseling people
    with nutritional problems.
  • Participating in
    community outreach services for adequate nutrition.
  • Imparting knowledge and
    skills to staff
  • Adhering to professional
    Code of Conduct and Ethics.
  • Performing any other
    duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must
    hold a bachelor’s degree in human Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • At least a year’s
    experience will be an added advantage.
