Job Summary: The Project
Manager will offer direction and management of The Union’s SPARK-TBplus
Project, in Uganda, as well as ensure the smooth and efficient running of the
technical, administrative and financial operations.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Offer overall project management and
direction on strategy implementation of project goals, including the
development of the annual operational plan, drafting internal and external
project reports. - Offer final project financial oversight,
including: analysis of budget, financial reports and provision of
recommendations to The Union on project budget forecasts and expenditures. - Act as the key project liaison and
spearhead collaborations with the Ministry of Health (MoH), District
Health Offices, Divisional Health Offices and implementing partners. - Provide technical assistance and guidance
to the District and Divisional Heath Officers and the Private Health
Providers in the areas of TB control, TB/HIV and the Public-Private Mix
(PPM) and conducts site visits as necessary. - Review monthly and quarterly progress
reports drafted by project staff and take action as necessary, and submit
monthly internal progress reports to the Director of the country office
and quarterly external reports for WHO-TB REACH Secretariat - In charge of supervising partner
collaboration, particularly the National - Tuberculosis and Leprosy Program (NTLP)
and the District Health offices, inducting ensuring effective
implementation of agreed activities and accurate reporting (Technical and
financial). - Recruit and supervise project staff.
- Ensure the integrity of the project and

represented in all project activities. - Responsible for overseeing specific Union
office project-related activities. - Ensure compliance with The Union’s
Standard Operations
Manual. - Perform any other duties as required by
the Director the Country office
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must be a Medical
Doctor with a Masters Degree in Public Health. - Three or more years’ experience in a
similar position. - Extensive knowledge and understanding and
experience of tuberculosis control. - Good knowledge and experience in working
with international donors, and the reporting (financial and technical)
requirements required - Ability to produce workplans and technical
reports. - Strategic planning experience.
- Excellent professional approach.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and
teambuilding skis. - Strong coordination and representation
skills. - Good computer literacy skills especially
in MSOffice, email and internet Strong written and oral communication
skate. - Excellent attention to detail.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure
and to tight deadlines. - Prior work experience in the private
health sector and/or with the NTLP an added advantage.
