About ILI-ACLE:
Fifteen years ago, we established an Institute dedicated to providing
affordable and high-level post-professional education to public and private
sector officials in Uganda in the areas of law, governance, finance and project
management to equip these professionals with practical tools to stand
shoulder-to-shoulder and compete effectively with other professionals across
the globe. The relevance of our approach was quickly recognized, and over the
years, we began to draw public and private sector professionals engaged in
development from across countries in Africa.

the Open Society Initiative for East Africa in the area of International
Criminal Law and with the Danida Fellowship Centre in the areas of Promoting
Government Integrity and Anti-Corruption and the Human Rights-Based Approach to
Development. ILI-ACLE is also pursuing partnerships with major U.S. and
international law schools, including a new ABA approved collaboration with the
University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, to develop opportunities for
more diverse and sustainable capacity building for practicing lawyers, law
students and law professors. ILI-ACLE’s partnerships will continue to raise the
bar for the region’s public and private sector institutions, and we strive to
be ever-relevant and ready to meet the region’s evolving needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct all tasks under the Proposal Preparation
Unit, which includes: - Engaging in business
development opportunities on behalf of ILI-ACLE by representing the
Institute at meetings and conferences, - Developing and writing high-quality
proposals, and - Engaging in Project task
management and implementation;
- Serve as ILI-ACLE liaison to international
law and business schools.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The prospective candidate must hold a
Master’s degree in law or related field from a recognized institution, as
well as relevant working experience in the area of programme
implementation, management and business development, preferably in an
international organisation. - The candidate should demonstrate a high
level of organization, flexibility, ability to work independently and
adhere to deadlines, the ability to thrive in a multi-cultural and
international-level work environment, commitment to work extended hours
and travel out-of-station, as necessary, and ability to work
collaboratively with a small professional and administrative team. - Prior International experience will be an
added advantage. - This position is open to all qualified
applicants, although preference may be given to candidate with residency
status in Uganda.
