Job Summary: The Total
Purchasing Manager will be responsible for implementing projects and
responsible for certain regular activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Procure goods and services for the company
for all departments - Prepare the Purchasing strategy:
- Definition of Critical
Equipment which must be purchased - Definition of Sensitive
equipment which are covered - Definition of Standard (Non
strategic) equipment which can be purchased locally - Create and update ISO procedures and work
instructions for the purchasing section - Update and Organise tenders where required
- Update the standard contract template for
the main categories of purchases and the associated general conditions of
contract. - Make sure that all purchasing section
reports are always prepared, analysed and submitted in time - Perform safety vetting and safety audits
of major suppliers and contractors - Carry out supplier vetting and
pre-qualification process for all suppliers - Maintain a comprehensive and updated
supplier database and minimise spot purchases - Keep legal risk to a minimum – Negotiates
and ensures that there are valid contracts for all approved suppliers and
contractors at all times - Actively participate in preparation of Annual
Budget for the Company - Carry out an exercise to optimise
transactions & limit approved Supplier list to reasonable number.

Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a bachelor’s
degree in Procurement, Finance, Commerce, Business or Engineering - Past exposure and experience in similar
position is an advantage - Skills
- Excellent analytical and negotiation
skills - Qualities such as independence and
initiative skills are important
