Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated to provide social security to its
members as prescribed by law under CAP 222 (Laws of Uganda) through efficient
management of members’ contributions. The NSSF asset base is currently over
Ugx. 4 trillion, making the Fund one of the largest players in Uganda’s
economy.
Fund (NSSF) is positioning itself to be the Social Security Provider of Choice
in Uganda. Our belief at the Fund is that each employee contributes directly to
the growth and success of the business and each employee is expected to take

Resource Business Manager will drive and maintain a high-achieving
organizational culture by delivering programmes that reward and recognize key
employee capabilities, skills, behaviors, experience and performance, and
ensure that reward systems are market-relevant, fair and cost-effective.
- Develop
and implement strategies that improve the Fund’s performance culture. - Maintains
a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting
job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling
individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay
structure revisions. - Ensures
planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work by training managers
to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with
employees, and counseling employees and Supervisors. - Develops
and implements employee recognition programmes in liaison with other
supervisors and managers in the Fund. - Maintains
the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for
all positions. - Maintains
employee benefits programmes and informs employees of benefits by studying
and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to
management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and
evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing
and conducting educational programs on benefit programmes. - Oversees
the Human Resource Capital Information system. - Maintains
professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
participating in professional societies. - Manages
and mentors the performance of the human resource business team.
- The
applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management ,
Arts or Sciences - A
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or
a - Post
graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. - At
least five years’ experience in a senior level management position in an
organization with a large workforce, in a busy and dynamic Human Resource
department. - Being
a member of the Human Resource governing body would be an added advantage.
